At this time, we were getting some complaints about PAT from readers who didn't want to open their newspaper and be "hit in the face with porn". We were getting double the amount of positive letters, mind you, but some negative. The paper was just excited to get ANY response to ANYTHING, but the addition of Fluffy the Happy Bear was my answer to readers who wanted me to tone it down.
