So I found the resolution to what I like to call PAT'S NEW GIRLFRIEND
and inked the sons of bitches in. They were written and pencilled
in 1995 and inked in 2001. Some kinda weird-ass time warp thing going.
Everything was so different, so simple back then, you know? College,
sweet college...such a happy place, free of responsibilty and worry.
Didn't have a bald spot back then. Was probably drunk when I drew
it.
But
not now, sir, no way! I've got a tiny patch of skin at the top of
my head that's spreadin' quick due to fantastic Hollywood stress
and I'm as sober as a school girl. That, that doesn't drink.
Neat
lay-out of the strip. An actual "strip", really. Wide
eyed Pat pisses his friends off under the control of his newfound
love. Angering The Geek so much he's drawn badly, confusing Mugsy
so much he had to exclaim "Nigga Wha---?". Okay, so I
added that when I inked it in, but you get the idea. I don't know
who exactly he's talking to Bon Jovi about, but I'm sure it ain't
Monkey Man because HE WASN'T HERE YET.
Please
notice Kevin isn't freaking out when Pat puts out his cigarette
but VERY CONCERNED, SWEATING EVEN, when his arch-rival is getting
beaned by a bat.
Dig
the FULL HOUSE joke. Now it would probably be ALLY McBEAL or WILL
AND GRACE. But back then FULL HOUSE humor was so cutting edge it
was scary. Yes, I was a pioneer.
